What Is Title 22?
Title 22, also referred to as California Code of Regulations Title 22, is comprehensive set of rules and protocols governing various types of care service providers in California, such as home health care, hospice and community care facilities, including assisted living facilities. These regulations are established by California’s Health and Human Services Agency. California Department of Social Services (CDSS) is responsible for various types of care homes and designed these regulations to ensure that facilities provide safe, healthy, and supportive environments for their residents.
Key areas covered by California’s Title 22 include Facility Licensing and Operation, Resident Rights and Protections, Staffing Requirements, Health and Safety Standards, and Record Keeping and Reporting.
Compliance with California title 22 code of regulations is mandatory for all assisted living facilities who operate in California.
