As the population continues to grow older, Alzheimer’s & Dementia cases are expected to grow as well. You need to know how these diseases & conditions affect your resident and how to effectively improve their quality of life. This is Part 1 of The Clinical Side.

This class will focus on the Clinical side of Alzheimer’s & Dementia. You will learn:

· Differences between Alzheimer’s Disease, MCI and Dementia
· How AD affects the brain
· Signs of Dementia
· Signs of AD
· Possible causes of AD
· Reversible and irreversible dementia’s

Note that DSS/CCL requires that RCFE Administrators complete at least 8 hours of continuing education in the area of Alzheimer’s & Dementia for certificate renewal.
This online class provides 2 CEU hours for RCFE & ARF and 2 CE hours for RN & LVN
