Medication Training – Part 1

Staff that assist residents with self-administration of medications are required to complete 4 hours (8 hours for 16+ capacity RCFE’s) of medication training within the first 2 weeks (4 weeks for 16+ capacity RCFE’s) of employment.  This is Part 1 of 4 and each Part is 2 hours.  In addition, 8 hours of annual ongoing training is required for medication staff , so complete 4 parts for your annual ongoing training.  Six medication shadowing hours (16 hours for 16+ capacity RCFE’s) must also be completed in your facility before working independently with residents. This online class provides 2 hours RCFE, ARF, RN and LVN continuing education credit.
